The exams will be given on the computer. They will look a whole lot like the quizzes only they will be longer and will cover a wider range of material. Don't be surprised if you recognize a lot of the questions because I will use many of the questions from the quiz databank when I make up the exams.The time limit for the exams will be 90 minutes. NOTE WELL: The computer will enforce this time limit and will not accept any answers after the 90 minute period has elapsed.
The computer will automatically grade the exams and you will be able to see your grade almost immediately. I will review the exams and possibly give some partial credit in cases where the computer is overly picky on the answer. This review will normally be completed within 72 hours after you complete the exam but it will not happen immediately - I review the exams in batches about every other day.
You are not eligible to take the first exam until you have completed the Addition Polymers Quiz (quiz #16).
There are four "hour" exams plus a comprehensive final exam (the final exam has a 150 minute time limit).
