Green Biotech

Green businesses focus on environmentally responsible business development. For example, a green business might sell 100% recycled paper or install solar panels. Green business practices can involve companies reducing their energy consumption or their waste production. For example, Dell Computer is offering recycling of the old computers for customers, reducing entry or toxic materials into the waste stream. The practices of green businesses are the same as any good business- but the area in which the business operates includes an environmental focus.

Green Biotechnology uses microbes and their products to manufacture products efficiently and with low impact on the environment. Green Biotech also includes bioremediation, using microbes to treat waste streams and render them nonhazardous. Industrial and Environmental Biotechnology both have a great future.
