- Dr. Quiñones was awarded a NSF Major Research Instrumentation (MRI) Grant for a Field Emission scanning electron microscopy. This grant was in collaboration with Aley El-Shazly (MU Geology), Michael Norton (MU Chemistry), Sean McBride (MU Physics), and Iyad Hijazi (MU Engineering).
